I like how you focuse...James,

Good posts this week. I like how you focused on two entirely different issues, yet made relevant comments to each that link them to today's business world. You write strongly but with humility as well, which gives you added validity. I also like how you preface your comments with some background on the subject. For example in the third paragraph you state, "it dealt with a lawsuit that has been filed against a company for violating the terms of the open source GPL software license." I think this is a very good setup for the reader. Finally, you incorporate the first image very well, which adds strength to your argument.

A few things you may want to improve on:

In general, I think you should address a few formatting issues such as at the very top of your post where the text is not aligned at the top of the image. Also, the first three paragraphs could be made into one large paragraph for succinctness. At the bottom of the post, the image you used kind of sticks out at the bottom and doesn't seem incorporated with the rest of the post.

Your second comment could be stronger if you expanded upon what you read in the article more. For example you state, "there is virtually no way for a judge to decide who should be awarded the damages." In the article, however, the author says "it's an open question how those damages would be calculated." Your comment is similar and almost repetitive. I suggest that you ask the author a question to challenge his views. You could say something like, "why do you think that it is hard to calculate damages?" Just a thought...

Overall, great post.MEDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11828968894208564220noreply@blogger.com
